SUMMARY:EFC Presentation and Prayer: "Prayer in Turbulent Times"
DESCRIPTION:The start of 2025 has been marked by new and ongoing crises. The toppled Assad regime in Syria\, the ongoing Israel/Gaza and Ukraine/Russia conflicts\, the Los Angeles wildfires\, the US presidential transition and inter-country tension\, and a looming Canadian election can cause anxiety for young and old alike. It’s not an understatement to say that we face turbulent times. \n\nIt’s when we might feel like the world is out of control that we must return to our first priority: prayer (1 Tim 2:1-2). While prayer is our everyday privilege and responsibility\, it’s in times like these we wonder: How specifically do we pray when nations conspire\, when rulers rise and fall\, and when creation groans? (Psalm 2 & 46). \nThe EFC invites you to gather with us to consider this pressing question for our day. Dr. David Guretzki\, President/CEO and Resident Theologian of the EFC\, will present biblical guidance on this theme\, followed by corporate biblically informed and united prayer for our country\, for the world\, and for Christ’s church “in these turbulent times.” \nYou and your colleagues are invited to participate in a one-hour Zoom Presentation and Prayer gathering for all EFC affiliates on Thursday\, February 20\, 2025 (8 a.m. Pacific / 9 a.m. Mountain / 10 a.m. Central/ 11:00 a.m. Eastern / Noon Atlantic / 12:30 p.m. NL). \nSchedule \nWelcome: Roger Helland\, The EFC Prayer Ambassador \nPresentation: “Prayer in Turbulent Times\,” Dr. David Guretzki\, The EFC President & CEO \nQuestions and Responses \nCorporate Prayer for Faith\, Peace\, and Hope \n\nBrian Stiller\, Global Ambassador\, The World Evangelical Alliance\nAisha Sharifa\, National Coordinator\, 24-7 Prayer Canada\nRon Short\, Lead Pastor\, The Dwelling Place Church; Prayer Coordinator\, Fellowship of Christian Assemblies\n\nPrayer for Faith\, Peace and Hope in Breakout Rooms \nBlessing: David Guretzki\, The EFC President & CEO \n  \nZoom Meeting Link: \nhttps://evangelicalfellowship.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=7305839647faee4657cc50540&id=b11bee2a61&e=6ff8a9a8e4 \nMeeting ID: 849 0751 3397 \nPasscode: 325732 \n

SUMMARY:Online - Easter Presentation and Prayer Forum
DESCRIPTION:Register \nThe Evangelical Fellowship of Canada is hosting an online Presentation and Prayer Forum for Canadian pastoral\, denominational\, ministry organization\, and academic leaders. \nEaster is on April 5. Many nominal Christians\, seekers\, and unchurched people will attend Christmas and Easter church services. These are opportune times for churches to serve their communities and offer compelling glimpses of the gospel. These also provide an opportunity for faith-filled\, missional prayer for church unity and gospel witness. \nWith this in mind\, guest presenter Mark Buchanan has been invited to share his reflections on Easter and the church’s missional opportunities. \nAfter Mark’s presentation\, we’ll pray in large and small group settings\, that people who may not normally attend church will do so; that pastors and parishioners will be prepared to share the gospel; and that churches will demonstrate Christian unity where joint Easter services are being held. \n  \n\n\n\n\nMark Buchanan is an associate professor of pastoral theology at Ambrose University\, a graduate of Regent College\, a pastor for over two decades\, and the author of 13 books (fiction and non-fiction)\, including the forthcoming What is Left of the Night: A World War II Novel (Kregel). He and his wife Cheryl also lead New Story Community\, a ministry that promotes the flourishing of Indigenous women.

SUMMARY:Online - EFC Presentation and Prayer Forum
DESCRIPTION:The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada invites all staff and leaders of EFC affiliate churches\, denominations\, ministry organizations\, and post-secondary institutions to join us for a free online Presentation and Prayer Forum\, May 14\, 2026 (8:00 a.m. Pacific / 9:00 a.m. Mountain / 10:00 a.m. Central / 11:00 a.m. Eastern / 12:00 p.m. Atlantic / 12:30 p.m. NL).\n  \nIn 2025\, the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada adopted a new strategic plan. One of our top priorities is to ask God to use the EFC and its affiliates to encourage the calling and sending of God’s people with the gospel of the Kingdom into the rich harvest field of Canada and the world. Our goal is to foster greater visible unity in gospel witness. One way to achieve this is “to practise and promote prayer among EFC staff and affiliates for gospel mission and workers” (Matt. 9:38).\n  \n\nTo this end\, the EFC’s prayer ambassador\, Roger Helland\, will share principles and practices of evangelistic prayer for the harvest\, drawing from Scripture\, history\, and personal testimony. This will be followed by large- and small- group evangelistic prayer.\n  \n\n\n\n\nRoger Helland serves as the prayer ambassador of The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada and as a lead team member of Ignite Prayer Canada. As a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.) and Trinity Western University (DMin.)\, he has served as a pastor\, district minister\, and adjunct professor at several theological schools and is the author of seven books\, including Pursuing God’s Presence. Roger is devoted to prayer\, spiritual leadership\, and church renewal.\n\n\n\n  \n\nSchedule\n\nWelcome: Rick Hiemstra\, EFC Director of Centre for Research on Church & Faith\nPresentation: Roger Helland\, EFC prayer ambassador\nLarge group prayer\n–  Gloria Willoughby\, manager\, Crossroads 24/7 Prayer Centre\n–  Trevor Seath\, executive director\, Ontario Conference of MB Churches\nSmall group prayer in breakout rooms of 8 each\nBlessing: Rick Hiemstra\, EFC Director of Centre for Research on Church & Faith\n \n \n\n\n\nZoom Link\nTime: May 14\, 2026 (8:00 a.m. Pacific / 9:00 a.m. Mountain / 10:00 a.m. Central / 11:00 a.m. Eastern / 12:00 p.m. Atlantic / 12:30 p.m. NL).\nhttps://theefc.zoom.us/j/81918601715\nMeeting ID: 819 1860 1715\n  \n\n\n\nOne tap mobile\n+14388097799\,\,81918601715#\n+15873281099\,\,81918601715#
